    At about 32 km from Pune. While going from Pune to Lonavala, look to the left after Talegaon Toll post, on old Mumbai Pune Highway NH4. Huge magnificient Statue of Ganapati , at hillock ,on the left side of road, near “Somatane Phata”. Idol is about 72 ft. tall, mounted on 18ft high pedestal,( of size 54 ft. sq.). 180 nos. of steps , of moderate ht. have to be climbed up to reach statue. It is magnificient concrete structure of @ 1000 ton wt, and the idol is copper clad. It is built. and maintained by Birla trust. One sees panoramic view around from the top. It is a place worth visiting. A little ahead on same diversion road Sai baba Temple is at Shirgaon. Just @ 3 km away from statue
