Shiva mansa puja

Adi Shankaracharya used to perform Manas Pooja of God Shiva daily. In this stotra he has describes how he was performing Manas Pooja. Manas mean Mind. Pooja performed in the mind is called as Manas Pooja. Normally we perform pooja in the temple or by sitting in front of God’s idol. But at the time of manas pooja devotee of God will sit
quietly in dhyanam position and with concentration he sees his beloved God in front of his third eye. He will offer anything and everything (that God likes which may not be affordable to him) to the God. Since the pooja is performed in the mind with concentration and with the feeling of God’s presence in front of devotee; it is of very much importance, pious and holy. Any one can get anything he wishes, by performing manas pooja daily and becomes Godlike. Manas pooja of God Shiva is called Shiva Manas Pooja While Manas Pooja of God Vishnu is called as Vishnu Manas Pooja; Devotee can perform manas pooja of any God he believes.

swastika Siva Stuthi || Lord Shiva Devotional Songs || S.P.Balasubramanyam Songs, Mano Songs

Shiva, in temples is usually found as a phallic symbol of the 'linga', which represents the energies necessary for life on both the microcosmic and the macrocosmic levels, that is, the world in which we live and the world which constitutes the whole of the universe. In a Shaivite temple, the 'linga' is placed in the center underneath the spire, where it symbolizes the naval of the earth.

Shiva Mantra Powerful - Sri Shiva Sahasranamam Full - Mahashivratri Special Mantra - Must Listen

Listen to and chant this popular Rudramala Sri Shiva Sahasranama Stotram with Lyrics, As Mahashivratri is just around the corner, play this popular peaceful Shiva Mantra by Dr.R.Thiagarajan On the auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri 2017, listen and chant this famous Shiva mantra, Om Namah Shivaya which means bowing to the supreme reality, Lord Shiva; the name given to the consciousness that dwells in all. Shivaratri means the "great night of Shiva". Shivaratri is the night when Shiva is said to have performed the Tandava Nritya, or the dance of primordial creation, preservation and destruction. Shivratri is also when Goddess Parvati and Lord Shiva married again. Shivratri celebrated on 13th day of Falgun month - the last month of Hindu calendar. The festival is principally celebrated by offerings of Bael leaves to Lord Shiva, all-day fasting and an all-night-long vigil. Shiva is worshiped in the form of a Lingam - a pillar often placed on a receptacle that represents female creative energy. Together it represents the union of organs, and the totality of creation. Flowers, incense and other offerings are made, while all through the day the devotees, chant the sacred Panchakshara mantra dedicated to Lord "Om Namah Shivaya". Shiva is the third god in the Hindu triumvirate. The triumvirate consists of three gods who are responsible for the creation, upkeep and destruction of the world. The other two gods are Brahma and Vishnu. Brahma is the creator of the universe while Vishnu is the preserver of it. Shiva sahasranama is a "list of a thousand names" of Shiva, one of the most important deities in Hinduism. In Hindu tradition a sahasranama is a type of devotional hymn (Sanskrit: stotra) listing many names of a deity. The names provide an exhaustive catalog of the attributes, functions, and major mythology associated with the figure being praised. The Shiva Sahasranama is found in Shiv Mahapuran and many other scriptures such as Linga Purana. As per Shiv Mahapuran when Vishnu was unable to defeat the demons after many attempts he prayed to Shiv who granted him the Sudarshan Chakra for fighting the demons.

Sri Rudram - Ancient Vedic Mantras of Shiva – Most Powerful

Geethanjali - Music and Chants
Published on Jul 15, 2018

Sri Rudram - Ancient Vedic Mantras of Shiva – Most Powerful:

00:03 – Sri Rudram

Chants by Dr.R.Thiagarajan

Shiva is the "destroyer of evil and the transformer" within the Trimurti, the Hindu trinity that includes Brahma and Vishnu. In Shaivism tradition, Shiva is the Supreme being who creates, protects and transforms the universe.
