For centuries Sri Lanka has slowly been turning away from its rich cultural heritage. A heritage soaked in Blood, Brutality, War and Hate as well as being entrenched in Peace, Honor and Mind warping Spiritualistic rituals. In 2008 a group of Individuals decided to address this slow fade of ancient knowledge. Out Of their Longing to see their countries culture revert to the times of old, Raaksha was born!!
Formed in the early dawn of 2008, Beelzebub and Deshapriya came together with a concept. A concept which Raaksha Projects. The concept of projecting the beauty and atrocity of ancient realms to modern day society. The unique genre of Pure Hela Metal is charactarised by furiously shredded guitar riffs with bowel shaking bass and animalistically decimated drum lines with Inhuman Shrieks and growls.
Sidhapathini is a devoted track to goddess Sri Sidha Paththini. The song starts with a howl of the guitars and clean electric guitars in the background giving it a dark and an ambient atmosphere, making you enter in to a bazaar trance. The second part of the song fades in as a devil chanter begins to chant an ancient spell in the background with a depressive distortion sound fills the entire song. The track is 8.40 minutes long and it will take you on a promising trip to an enchanted place of your mind.
