Brits have come a long way in the cooking skills stakes, but one woman is bucking the trend with a thoroughly distasteful cooking error.
Melony Jackson has become an internet sensation after admitting that she'd been using olive oil shower gel instead of actual olive oil to cook her food.
Melony, from West Horsham in West Sussex but now living in Raleigh, North Carolina, posted on her Facebook page: "I've thrown 2 saucepans away and nearly got rid of my dishwasher as my food kept tasting nasty.
"Turns out what I thought was olive oil was olive oil shower gel.
"Chef of the week award is not mine."
