Aitareya rishi said yjna is conversion of consciousness into matter and matter in to consciousness through vital force. Einsein discovered that matter and energy are inter-convertible as per his formula e=mc2.
The vedic seers discovered a superior form of energy viz. the power of consciousness. It is the consciousness, which activate our vital energies, which in turn, can bring about any transformation.
The power of consciousness is represented by mantra, vital energy are the Deva’s (God) when we say that Deva’s are invoked by mantras, we simply mean to say that vital energies are activated by the use of psychic power. These psychic powers, which are supra-physical, can control anything physical. Thus, by use of mantras and by invoking Deva’s all of our desires can be fulfilled.
A MANTRA is a mystical energy encased in a sound structure. Every mantra contains within its vibration a certain power. Upon concentration and repetition of a given mantra, its energy is liberated and takes form
The efficiency of the japa/chanting is accentuated according to the degree of concentration. The mind should be fixed on the source or the related YANTRA. Then only you will realize the maximum benefit of a mantra.
A Bija-Akshara is a seed-letter and is a very powerful Mantra. Every Devata has his or her own Bija-Akshara. The greatest of all Bija-Aksharas is OM or Pranava. It is the symbol of the Paramatman Himself. OM contains within itself all the other Bija-Aksharas. There is no Mantra superior to OM. This triliteral sound is only an expression or manifestation of the highest primal Dhvani or vibration.
Generally a Bija-Mantra consists of a single letter but sometimes it constitutes several syllables. Some Bija-Mantras are made up of compound letters, such as the Mantra Hreem. Their meaning is subtle and mystical. The form of the Bija-Mantra is the form of the Devata signified by it.
The Bijas of the five elements, namely Ether, Air, Fire, Water and Earth, are Ham, Yam, Ram, Vam and Lam respectively.
May there be tranquillity on earth, on water, in fire, in the wind, in the sky, in the sun, on the moon, on our planet, in all living beings, in the body, in the mind and in the spirit. May that tranquillity be everywhere, and in everyone.
This is a Mantra of Universal Goodwill.. It signifies that may all elements in the Universe be in harmony, goodness, peace, love
