Sanskrit recitation of complete second chapter of the Bhagavad Gita, along with the English text of the shlokas.

Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 2: Sankhya Yoga - The Yoga of Analysis -
In chapter two Arjuna accepts the position as a disciple of Lord Krishna after surrendering to Krishna he requests the Lord to instruct him in how to dispel his lamentation and grief. This chapter is a summary of the emtire Bhagavad-Gita. Many subjects are explained such as: karma yoga, jnana yoga, sankhya yoga, buddhi yoga and the atma which is the soul and the supersoul.

The second chapter of Gita is entitled “The Sankhya Yoga”. Yoga means union. Yuj means to join. In Sanskrit it is called Yoga and in English it is called Religion. Each chapter of Bhagavad Gita is called Yoga and it helps you to unite. You are separated from something and you are asked to unite to something you are separated from. If you use physical body to unite with self it is Karma Yoga. If you use your mind to unite with self it is Bhakti yoga. If you use your knowledge/ intellect to unite with self it is called Gnana Yoga. The physical Body, Mind and Intellect are the equipments that you carry with you.

Listen and chant this Srimad Bhagwad Gita Chapter 3 | Karma Yoga - The Yoga Of Action | Bhagavad Gita Full Song with Lyrics in English by Dr.R.Thiagarajan

Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 3: Karma-yoga - The Yoga of Action -
Everyone must engage in some sort of activity in this material world. But actions can either bind one to this world or liberate one from it. By acting for the pleasure of the Supreme, without selfish motives, one can be liberated from karma

Every body works on this earth, but by working they create bondage. Only a few people who are inclined towards the Great Master perform disciplined action and become united with the Supreme Soul. Just by being indifferent to the fruit of an action, they (KarmaYogis) are rewarded for that action innumerable times by God. By un-attachment alone, Janak, the great king of India, realized his true self.

Shri Krishna says to Arjuna, "By constantly surrendering your action with all your heart to my All Knowing Supreme Soul, you fight this battle without any expectations, attachment and agony."

The great thing in Karma-Yoga is giving up the fruit of one's actions. In Karma-Yoga, one surrenders the fruit; but the question arises: does the fruit come to one, nevertheless, or does it not? Thus the Third Chapter says that the karma-yogi, by giving up the fruit of his action, does not lose it, but paradoxically enough, gains it in infinite measure.
