This weekend is the finale of the America's Cup World Series in San Francisco, and The Daily got an exclusive look at the state-of-the-art tech behind this legendary race.
Each yacht in the AC45 class carries four high-definition cameras capable of pan, tilt and zoom, and five microphones delivering full 5.1 surround sound — all sent via microwave from a transmitter fitted to the top of each mast.
Even more impressive is the new real-time graphics system, known as LiveLine, that puts a video game-like display of information over the fast and furious action on the course.
